Compressor: Ratios 6, 7, 8, and 9. Input and Output Gain to about 30 dB or so. Threshold to -60 Db from both Compressor and Limiter.

Please and thank you for adding the suggestions to the Feature Request list. There's so many things going through my mind right now about Feature Requests in Music Speed Changer.

Do you think the process is going to be super long? Or, is it going to be a "Boom, done" type of process. Not rushing or forcing you.

Order of the Albums when released in the same year

Hello.

I'd like a feature so that Albums get ordered by Chronological Order when they are released in the same year.

Take for example Sap and Dirt, 2 separate Alice In Chains albums, both released in 1992.

Sap was released in February 92 and Dirt, in September 92

As they are both released in the same year, the albums are sorted in Alphabetical order, which means that Dirt is put behind Sap, when it should be the other way around.

Music fade in

Hi, hopefully it's possible to put music fade-in onto the app. It's basically where you can make each song fade into one another in playback when going to the next song. Would be really cool!

Waveform Zoom and Precision Scrolling

Hi! It would be really helpful to have a zoom feature on the waveform, so you could scroll back and forth in time with more precision. Right now, when trying to transcribe something, the time resolution of the waveform feels a bit limited.

Improved Sleep Timer

- Has the option to fade out when finsihing
- Play until the end of a song that's currently playing when the timer is up
- Allow us to type the time values instead of having to swipe only to set our time

Markers export!

Firstly, I would like to thank you for implementing the Markers feature.
Can't express my happiness. Now it's easier to listen to a part of a song to play it by ear!

I don't know if others have asked for the next feature but is it possible to save the markers somehow?
One idea can be that they are exported as xml or any other file format specifically created by musicspeedchanger with the the original file's name in the same directory so even by copying files they follow along and can be used on other devices. Somehow like how srt (subtitle files) work in video players like VLC.

Your app is amazing, I love it!
I use it all the time and so do my other band members (we all use paid versions obviously).

Track isolation is awsome! The results, given the processing is done on the phone are quite impressive. Other apps charge an arm and a leg for this feature alone.

Would it be too much to ask for the next AI feature to identify chords ? (samplab.com, moises.ai, chordai.net)
That would make your app my single go-to tool for learning new songs!

Automatic speed increase/decrease

When you practice many times you want to create an A<->B loop. Then start slowly, and increase speed gradually.

My suggestion is to have an additional feature as follows:

0. Speed change mode on / off (if off - the app behaves as usual, if on at 'play' pressed, the Start speed is determined (see below) and speed changes according to the below parameters.

1. Indicator (text or slider) where you indicate at what speed percentage you want to stop your practice (you start where the speed slider is currently positioned).
2. Select of change method: either: 'loop count' or 'time based'
3. Number: 'loop count': After how many 'A' <-> 'B' loops speed change (increase if target speed is higher than current, and decrease if target speed is lower than current)
4. Number: 'time based': Every how many seconds speed change occurs
5. Change by how many percentages each time (1% - 100%)

Usage example (loop count):
You set a loop from 'A' at offset 0:10 to 'B' at offset 0:20
You select loop count
You select every 3 loops
You select change in 2%
Start speed is:50%
Target speed is: 80%
So the application plays the loops as follows:
1st loop: at 50%
2nd loop: at 50%
3rd loop: at 50%
4th loop: at 52%
5th loop: at 52%
6th loop: at 52%
7th loop: at 54% etc.
Until reaching 80%, continuing at 80% until the user stops the music

Another example (time based):
You set a loop from 'A' at offset 0:00 to 'B' at offset 0:42
You select 'time based'
You select every 12 seconds
You select change in 5%
Start speed is 80%
Target speed is 102%
So the application plays the music as follows:
0:00-0:12 - at 80%
0:12-0:24 - at 85%
0:24-0:36 - at 90%
0:36-0:42 continue 0:00-0:06 at 95% (end loop starting from 'A' - still counting time)
0:06-0:18 - at 100%
0:18 - continuing the loop until stopped at 102%

Would a WatchOS Companion app at all be possible? One that allows you to the change the pitch or tempo of your song in a swipeable sub-menu or something.

And time skipping options would be really cool now it's supported on WatchOS in the March pixel drop

Transferring pitch shift data between devices if possible

Hi! So I have a problem with moving files between phones and having to set the pitch for each of my 500+ songs. Knowing I'm getting a new phone soon, the thought of setting pitch for almost every song in my playlist makes me wanna stay on my current phone just because of that.
There's already a feature that saves the pitch setting for each song individually - is it possible to export it in some kind of file to easily transfer it to anot

I know that markers are autosaved but It's more practical to export them so they can be transferred with the audio file.

I changed my phone and lost all my markers.

Can the option to change the order of the custom components be added. I want to have the artwork on top and then the pitch changer right below it while having access to tempo change and others.

I also wanted to suggest a most played playlist or just a better way to track frequently played tracks like how spotify does for individual users.

The recently played track list includes songs that are skipped and should only add songs that you listen through at least a minute or so I'd say.

Internal Audio Spectrum Analyzer

One tool that I can't find anywhere for Android right now is an app that measures the spectrum of the audio coming out of the app (not the microphone, there are too many of those).

If it were possible to implement it, it would be a game changer.

Support multiple genre tags

it would be great if you could select/search a song not only by song, album and interpret like now, but also by the contents of the mp3 genre tag; this tag may contain also multiple genres (e.g. "Pop; Instrumental", separation character should be selectable).

Hi there,
I use Music Speed Changer to speed up / slow down ballroom dance music. Due to the complexity of ballroom dance music the automatic BPM detection sometimes fails (mostly if the beat is too smooth like in slow waltz), but I have saved the correct BPM in the mp3 BPM tag. Would be great if you could decide either to have automatic BPM detection or to use the BPM value stored in tag.

"Jump to End" Button for Long Playlists

Preamp

I don't know if I'm doing this right or wrong. But, when I convert my favorite songs to 448 Hz, I lower the preamp to get rid of distortion as I do the loop as well. And then I activate the 448 Hz pure tone, I paste in 101.81% from most 440 Hz songs. And, then I tag edit the song after I hit save edited track. Then, I do the limiting in the Limiter. The threshold doesn't react until a little tiny bit of dB later, even though the limiting is doing the same exact thing from the default release. Am I supposed to use the preamp from the Limiter to let the ceiling stay at 0 dB as the threshold kicks in early from the original leveling of the distorted preamp and song in general? Or, no?

Type your messageBefore I try to explain the idea I have in mind, just thank you for this cool app: I can't keep another player without looking for the built-in tools and coming back again and again when I can't find them.
But I'll explain:
You could separate the stems of a song and relocate them taking advantage of HRTF technology to customize the music experience even more?
You could relocate from the lead singer's voice to the front or one of the ears without altering the rest of the location of the instruments, relocate pianos, violins or guitars according to taste.
I honestly don't know if there are the necessary resources to make this possible but anyway, thanks for reading me.

I wish this app had a lyrics sync feature. You can copy and paste lyrics and then sync them yourself by tapping which part of the lyrics will be highlighted or pop up when the lyrics are sung in the song and then save the whole process

Equalizer Presets

I'm a beginning bass player, and I find myself switching regularly between two very different equalizer configurations. I use a bass-heavy one when I'm trying to pick out the bass line so that I can play it. The other setting drops the bass down very low so that I can play along with the rest of the song and not compete with the bass in the recording. It would save a lot of repetition if I could save these two as presets and not have to move all the sliders every time I switched between the two. I'm using the Android app.

Folders & cover images for playlists

A suggestion pertaining to playlists.
I have a lot of them and the list keeps growing, so things can get cluttered in the selection menu. Sometimes I can't find my most used lists as efficiently as I would like, so it would be nice if a feature was introduced where we can sort them manually (not just by name), and perhaps even into folders, similar to the Spotify feature.
Being able to add custom cover images to both individual playlists and folders would be the cherry on top.

I requested this a few years ago as well and figured it wouldn't hurt to post it again for visibility

P.S. I'm still very happy with the app in 2024 and couldn't be more appreciative of the continued updates/support.

Keyboard hotkey

Hi, can you please add hotkey? I mean for example ctrl+P = play/pause (if I have pluged keyboard in tablet). I hope, this is easy for programming, but the efect is great. For example foot pedal with arduino, which can start play/pause or play next song, change tempo... with free hands (great for practice guitar). Sorry for my bad english. Thank you for great app.

Fading effects and crossfade

It would be very useful and will improve the listening experience with some fading effects between switching songs, pausing/resuming the playback and more.
Also the crossfade effect would make the moment of songs changing much better for the ear.

Add Search feature to Folders and not just Library

I love this app so much, and have been using it for years, however I have always gone directly to Folders where all my music lives when listening to music. For the longest time, I didn't even know Search was built into this because it only appears on the Library menu item.

Could you please consider adding the Search magnifying glass to the Folders menu just as it currently appears on the Library menu, or at least add this as an option in settings?

Improve setting markers and waveform

For playing loops it's important for me to set markers properly to beats/measures. Therefore, it would be very useful if the waveform were exact and zoomable (instead of a bar graph) and if markers could be dragged within the waveform. Editing the marker list by specifying seconds and sub-seconds is very annoying.

Automatic markers for bars/measures

I'd like to use the application to practice a specific section of an audio file. I know I can set markers manually for the start and end of the section, but I find it fiddly, especially since the Android app doesn't appear to let you zoom in.

I was thinking that a handy feature might be to allow the user to specify the start of the song and end of the song and specify how many bars/measures were in the song, and then the app would automatically create markers (numbered from 1 to the number of bars/measures).

Once created, this would allow the user to specify which bars/measures they wanted to repeat.

Obviously this wouldn't necessary give the user the exact bar/measure position, but would give them a starting point that they could fine-tune

Just one question, is it possible to zoom into the waveform at all? Or will this be added at some point. Would be really useful to have that kind of detail when transcribing.

For the transcription purposes it would be great to be able to zoom in the waveform view so that you can see the time axis in bigger detail.
